
Jamaal has been working in school settings around the state since 2013. He started his journey as a substitute teacher in Brockton then transitioned to teaching drama at RCMS. In his 5 year tenure at Bridge Boston Charter School, he wore many hats. He worked as the dean of students, the middle division behavioral coach, and art teacher. He closed out his work in the classroom setting as the dean of school culture at RCMS. He has an undergraduate degree from Bridgewater State University, and a graduate from Boston College with a Masters in Educational Leadership and Policy with a focus in social justice. His last role was as the Coordinator of Targeted Programming for BPS which he facilitated the training of mentors for the district. He assists with programming for BPS students in partnership with the YEO, TD Bank, Emmanuel College & others. His pride and joy is running art identity focused programming in partnership with BMA and MBK Boston.
He continues to allow his visions for equity and inclusion to be taken into account, bringing strong, open-minded and charismatic energy into the work along with creative ideas on engagement.

Consultant
As a consultant, we help organizations integrate arts-based programming and provide professional development centered around identity, empathy, and cultural understanding.
The services available support organizations in fostering a deeper understanding of self, others, and diverse cultures through the integration of hands-on arts activities and professional development. The services and programming will engage students and staff in a transformative learning experience that enhances empathy, cultural competency, and inclusivity.
